GENERAL Care for all jewellery
Please handle your special pieces with care, in particular when getting dressed or undressed.
Please do not wear your jewellery when you sleep, shower, swim or when applying creams and perfume. The water exposure, chemicals and oils can tarnish, cut away at plating’s, discolour and damage your jewellery.
Pay special attention if you live close to the ocean or places with high humidity, as these conditions will greatly affect your pieces.
Try keeping your pieces clean and dry in a jewellery bag or box that is air-tight, ensuring you limit exposing your pieces to the elements when you are not wearing them.

Beads
Taking Care
Please refer to our General Care for Jewellery above.
Like any fashion accessory, Beaded Jewellery needs special care in order for it to maintain its stylish appearance.
Beads in particular must not be exposed to harsh chemicals. These chemicals can eat away at the colour and coating of the bead itself as well as damage the string holding the beads together.
Pay special attention when you clean your beaded pieces if they are paired with other materials such as Sterling Silver or Brass.
These metals can tolerate harsher cleaning solutions and methods, but unfortunately not you’re Beads.

Beads itself are fairly durable and most of the string/gut that holds the Beads together are fairly strong too, however please be careful as over time and with sharp objects or hard pulling the string/gut can break.

Brass
Taking Care
Please refer to our General Care for Jewellery above.
Like any fashion accessory, Brass Jewellery needs special care in order for it to maintain its stylish appearance.
Here are a few alternative options to keep your Brass pieces…
Mix lemon juice (fresh if you can) and baking soda into a paste, apply with a soft cloth, and rinse with water. Allow to dry well before storing in a jewellery bag or box.
You can use a Brass polishing paste like Brasso that is readily available in stores. Use a cloth to rub the paste onto the areas you need to polish. Please be careful to avoid areas of your jewellery that is sensitive to harsh cleaning or products such as Beads, Bone, Pearls, Shell and Semi-Precious Stones. You then wipe the paste of with a clean part of your cloth. Allow to dry well before storing in a jewellery bag or box.
Use a jewellery polishing cloth to restore shine before storing in a jewellery bag or box.
It is worth mentioning that Brass will naturally appear duller and darker with exposure to air and oxygen. This is called patina a natural occurrence to brass.
The general maintenance of Brass might seem a bit more compared to solid Gold, however the cleaning is quick and easy and so worth it if you have to compare the cost outlay of Brass compared to solid Gold.
You get the same golden shine but at a fraction of the cost. Brass jewellery is a wonderful option to add diversity in your jewellery collection.

Gold and Sterling Silver plating
Taking Care
Please refer to our General Care for Jewellery above.
Like any fashion accessory, Plated Jewellery needs special care in order for it to maintain its stylish appearance.
Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove daily dirt.

We offer two types of plating
- 18ct Gold Plating. We are able to 18ct Gold Plate most of our Sterling Silver jewellery pieces. We do a double coating to give our clients the best result.
- Sterling Silver Plating. We offer this option for clients wanting a Sterling Silver version of our Brass Jewellery. We do a double coating to give our clients the best result.
Please be mindful as the plating will fade and wear off with time. The plating will wear off differently with each person and depending how the piece is cared for and to what the piece is exposed too.
Sweat, creams, oils, chemicals, water and movement against your skin or other parts of your jewellery are all factors that will lead to wear and fading of your plating.
We do offer a re-plating option for our clients. Please contact us for a quotation.

Sterling Silver
Taking Care
Please refer to our General Care for Jewellery above.
All our fittings that sit directly on the ear are solid Sterling Silver, unless otherwise specified.
Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove daily dirt.
Mix warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, soak for a few minutes, and then gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. Allow to dry well before storing in a jewellery bag or box.
Make a paste with baking soda and water, rub gently, then rinse and allow to dry well before storing in a jewellery bag or box.
There are other companies stating Sterling Silver or ‘Silver’ on their product listing and description of their jewellery pieces, however the fact is these pieces are either Stainless Steel, Brass or another base metal that has been Sterling Silver plated. We feel that this misleads the customer and does not allow for a true reflection i and comparison to the value and durability of the jewellery pieces.
We use solid Sterling Silver for much most of our applications with the odd attachment that might be Brass or Nickle free Stainless Steel or metal. These are really rare in application and should normally not have direct contact with the skin.
We also offer our Solid Brass range to be Sterling Silver double plated if you wish to have a Sterling Silver version of these bespoke pieces.
We also offer a re-plating option for our clients that need this service again down the line.
